Labour Force Survey Q1-2016
During the first quarter of 2016, according to Labour Force Survey, the working age population (aged 15-64) accounts for 69.5 % of the total population. Among the working age population, individuals who are economically active in the labour market (working or looking actively for a job) account for 65.9 % of it. The economically inactive population accounts for 34.1 % of the population aged 15-64.
Over the first quarter 2016, the unemployment rate (according to the ILO definition) is 16.6 % marking a decline of 0.74 percentage points compared to the fourth quarter 2015.
