Project objectives:

The overall objective of the cooperation project between INSTAT and Statistics Sweden is to contribute to the development of a sustainable statistical system in Albania where INSTAT understands its real needs and independently builds internal and external institutional capacity and produces statistics user friendly and used by key stakeholders.

Project results:

The main project results related to project indicators are as follows:

• INSTAT will be able to plan and organize work according to priorities, improving communication, involving all staff in work planning, decision making and monitoring. INSTAT will be considered as an institution that can provide knowledge and training to other institutions on the national statistical system.
• INSTAT will have the necessary capacity to produce and improve existing statistics independently by following EU standards and requirements and the European code of practice.
• INSTAT will have the appropriate capacity to maintain servers and their back up system and develop standards for statistical communication
