In the framework of the Census of Population and Housing 2022 in Albania, on April 08, 2021, INSTAT held a meeting with international donors and partners, in order to present the progress of the preparatory work of the Census of Population and Housing 2022, the changes that occurred, and submitting a request for support on Cens's uncovered activities.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Albanian Government, the EU Delegation to Albania, United Nations agencies, the Swiss Embassy, ​​the Swedish Embassy, ​​as financiers of Cens activities, as well as representatives of embassies in Albania, as well as other international organizations. .

During this meeting, INSTAT presented the current status of the activities of the Census of Population and Housing 2022, the financial gap related to the postponement of the Census in 2022, and informed about the preparations for the Census of Agriculture, which is expected to take place in 2024.

At the end of the meeting, the Swiss embassy, ​​United Nations agencies, as well as the Swedish embassy pledged to further support the uncovered activities of the 2022 Census of Population and Housing.
