On January 27, 2021, was organized the first meeting of the Central Census Commission, which was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Brace, as Chairman of the Commission. Participants in the meeting, as members of the Commission, were ministers / deputy ministers of the Council of Ministers, representatives from Academy of Sciences, University of Tirana, T

he Information and Data Protection Commission , the Department for Development and Good Governance in Prime Minister’s office, and representatives of INSTAT.

The opening speech of this meeting was given by chairman Mr. Brace, who spoke about the importance of Census as well as the establishment, role and functioning of the CCC. Afterwards, the floor was given to Mrs. Dhuli, INSTAT member of the Commission, informed the members on the Objectives of the Census Strategy, the plan of activities as well as the human and financial resources for the implementation of Census. INSTAT, in addition to other tasks provided in law no. 140/2020 "On the Census of Population and Housing" also performs the role of secretariat of the Central Census Commission.
