The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) releases the publication"Characteristics of Road Vehicles" for the year 2024, which provides a detailed overview of road vehicles circulating in Albania.

At the end of 2024, the total number of registered road vehicles (with active or temporarily deregistered status) reached 959,226, marking an increase of 10.5% compared to 2023.

Passenger cars accounted for 80.8% of the total vehicle fleet. The number of passenger cars per 1,000 inhabitants increased to 328, up from 292 in 2023.
